Most of the duties of the treasurer are regulated and dictated by the State of Michigan.
Some of the duties and responsibilities of the Parma Township Treasurer include:
Receive and take charge of all funds belonging to the Township or which are required by law to be paid into the Township treasury
Pay over and account for the funds according to law or Township board decision
Collect real property, personal property, and mobile home specific taxes and disburse those taxes to the appropriate taxing entities on a timely basis
Invest Township funds in approved investment vehicles
Maintain accurate records of all income, receipts, and disbursements
Deposit all receipts in the Township depository or depositories
Tax Information
2024 Winter Property Tax payments are due by Friday, February 14, 2025. The township office will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for collection. A secure drop box is also located on the north side of the building. Payments received after this date will have late penalty interest added.

*The last day to pay 2024 Summer and Winter Property Tax at the Township Office will be Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

As of March 1, 2025: Payments received at the Township Office will be returned to the sender. Delinquent property tax will have to be paid at the Jackson County Treasurer’s Office.
